While other filmmakers chase after box office receipts by with inane comedy, zombies, vampires and werewolf flicks, River Roubaix breaks conventionality by writing, producing, directing and starring in an authentic Western. He has spun a fabulous yarn of Bibical origins, making us believe once again that great storytelling, mixed with classic cinematography can movie audiences as much as or more than vogue-ish slop.

Dear Fans, Crew and Cast,

Autumn’s blaze of scarlet red and yellowish orange now set the stage. In search of the last grass the horses in Pemberville have now migrated among the flags that mark where the wagon once occupied the set of Whitehorse Revelations.

It has been a productive summer with capturing a lot of great film and photographs. In Pemberville and Streator we had more than 50 people and 16 horses involved in this production. Other than a few bug bites, sunburns, minor cuts, bruises and even some black toes no human or horse was injured in the filming. As time passes we will forget all the “battle scars” and remember all the fun we shared and the new friendships that emerged.

It has been my pleasure to meet everyone involved and I thank all of you for helping me bring one of my western stories to life. No matter what your job or role and even if you are fan that offered words of encouragement; I greatly appreciate each and everyone.

As for the film Whitehorse Revelations I have and always will base all my decisions on what is best for the film and not individual preferences. At this time I am waiting for the editor to provide me with a 1st rough of the film so I can observe the flow. Afterwards I will give everyone an update regarding production. If more filming is required to correct or enhance the short then production will pick up in the late spring or early summer. Due to unforeseen circumstances and schedule conflicts we will not make the Sundance Film Festival this year.

I am determined to give our audiences an independent short that will create a following to want the complete story revealed. As we continue with a controversial western we know that it is ok to be different and not to follow the “herd” but rather to follow our dreams and make them our goals.

Sincerely,

Your writer, producer and director

River Roubaix

The quality of audacity, for good or for bad best describes “Whitehorse Revelations”. Is the human race nothing more than God’s little sheep waiting to slaughtered? Who will remove the lock on God and morality?

River: The hurt from five broken ribs and collarbone due a fall from a ladder a week ago, doesn't come close to the imagined impairment wrought by the shot of Colt's most powerful pistol. The fall I took last week repeats itself in my mind, not in Birmingham, Michigan, but elsewhere in front of a wagon, beside my partner in crime, and before a man on a horse. To me, that is the fall to remember. In all honesty, the most magic moments of 2010 happened on a plain outside Bowling Green, Ohio. There, I met the most wonderful people, and had the greatest fortune to play out the character Charlie. I am so very thankful for your vision, dedication and perfection in making Whitehorse Revelations the kind of movie it is to become. This week I have much to be thankful for. Whitehorse Revelations is among the first. My very best wishes to you and yours for making that so. Happy Thanksgiving.

Wow, Victor, that's quite an image you have painted for us comparing the gunshot to your fall, I can see it quite clearly in my minds video player.
I must agree that the best part of last year was spent in the hot summer sun with the wind blowing sweet scents of the field around a natural movie set. It was truly an unforgettable experience with great people and horses. Thanks for the creation, River.
